Ruth & Albert
Blossom orchard · Golden hour, May
The Softest Light Of The Year
Ruth and Albert timed their whole wedding to the blossom — and the blossom, miraculously, waited. Guests walked a petal-covered path between the rows to a ceremony circle dressed with nothing but linen and windfall branches. It smelled like spring turned all the way up.
Albert cried before Ruth arrived, composed himself, then cried again when she laughed mid-vow at his impression of their first date. Their photographer tax was simple: twenty minutes alone in the orchard at golden hour while guests found their seats. The resulting frames — her head on his shoulder, petals in the air — are the reason this studio exists.
Dinner stretched between the trees on one endless table. When the speeches ended, Ruth's grandmother started singing, and within a verse ninety people were singing with her. Some galleries are beautiful. This one hums.
"Grandmother's song, the petals, his face — you gave us back moments we were too swept up to hold onto."
— Ruth, the bride
